Through its members, the AAC advocates for American climbers domestically and around the world; provides grants and volunteer opportunities to protect and conserve climbing areas; hosts local and national climbing festivals and events; cares for the nation’s leading climbing library and mountaineering museum; manages a lodging network for climbers; and annually gives about $100,000 toward climbing, conservation, education and research grants that fund adventurers who travel the world.
We're excited for the opportunity to team up with the ACC to bring you these limited edition skis, featuring a beautiful graphic by Denver-based artist Noelle Phares. A portion of every ski sold will go towards supporting the great work done by the ACC.
Noelle Phares is a watercolor and mixed-media artist who brings a fresh perspective into her landscape paintings through abstract detail atop realistic subjects. She has been painting throughout the American West over the last decade. As an environmental scientist by training, she brings her left-brain attention to detail and discipline into her artwork, while allowing the same topics that drive her work in agricultural sustainability to seep into her art to inspire people to respect and wonder at natural resources. Her most recent body of work combines realistic landscape elements with structural geometry, exploring the ever-encroaching presence of humanity into previously pristine open spaces. She holds a BS in Biochemistry, and an MS in Environmental Science. She currently lives and paints out of Denver, CO.
