Axe and the Oak Custom Ski

Born in the heart of Colorado Springs, Colorado Mountain Bourbon Whiskey is Axe and the Oak Distillery’s flagship spirit. Axe and the Oak uses Colorado grains from Colorado in their spirits, just like Meier uses wood from Colorado in our skis. There's another, more musical connection as well.

On the back of the bottle, you will find the batch number, bottle number, and “tunes.” The tunes section is dedicated to the musician or band that our distillery team was listening to while bottling that particular bottle. Great music runs in Axe and the Oak's roots through and through. Meier's tune shop is called the House of Tunes and Meier has deep relationships with many Colorado and international bands as well. With similarities like this, we just had to team up.

The Axe and Oak Custom Ski is made on our best-selling Quickdraw model.

About the Quickdraw

The Quickdraw features a wide shovel and narrow waist for quick and effortless edge-to-edge turns. The broad shovel helps the tip pop on top to float through powder and crush crud while giving the skier a smooth, easy-turning ride. It's lightweight and nimble with a sustainably harvested beetle-kill pine and poplar wood core that remains stable at high speeds.
