Meier Skis x The Adventure Project
Meier Skis is excited to announce a new partnership with The Adventure Project (TAP).
TAP is an international ski and snowboard tour company that specializes in taking adventurous-minded skiers and boarders around the world to exotic locations in search of the best powder and cultural immersion. This summer, Meier and The Adventure Project (TAP) will partner together on an official Meier Skis trip to South America to ski and ride
Nevados de Chillan in Chile in August (22
nd Aug - 1st Sep) and then in the winter of 2024/25, we will partner together to launch a northern hemisphere trip. We want as many Meier Skis followers to join us on these trips and soon we'll be launching a survey to finalize where you would like to go with us in 2025.
TAP is owned by Matt Appleford and has been in operation since 2010. Matt is based in Granby, CO and runs trips around the world. These trips are fully-hosted and guided, so all you have to do is book your airfare, organize your travel insurance and then meet Matt and his team at the destination. They take care of all of the details that would normally make travel to exotic locations somewhat complex. These trips are suitable for intermediate and above level skiers and boarders and with most trips, you can have your own private group with as little as 4 people in it (excluding cat skiing trips).
For the upcoming season, Matt would like to offer Meier Skis followers an exclusive discount for the upcoming winter on their 2023/24 northern hemisphere programs.

Here is a rundown of the trips they will be running and availability they have for this winter (custom dates are available for private groups):
January
Hokkaido (Japan) - Good availability for session 1 (5
th - 16th Jan) but only 4 spots left for session 2 (18th - 29th Jan).
February
Tohoku (Japan) - 1st - 12th Feb - Sold out, wait list only. Potential for 1 more private group of 4 people if the accommodations are available.
Kazakhstan - 4th - 14th Feb - 2 spots left. First time exploratory trip, with a group of expert skiers. Must have touring gear. New trip, not on website!
Uzbekistan - 17th - 27th Feb - room for 2 x expert skiers (with touring gear) and 2 x snowboarders with touring gear in a snowboard specific group.
Gulmarg (Indian Himalayas) - 23rd Feb - 5th Mar - room for 1 private group, 4 to 6 people, can be skiers or snowboarders.
March
North Macedonia private cat skiing - 15th - 25th Mar - we have 2 x private cats on hold. Looking for 3 x people for 1 cat and 6 people minimum to fill another cat that we have on hold.
Republic of Georgia - 15th - 25th Mar, either Gudauri or Mestia, room for 4 people in a private group for both locations.
Kosovo private cat skiing - 14th - 24th Mar, room for 6 people in a private cat. New trip, not on website!
August
Chile - August 22nd - Sept 1st 2024. Nevados de Chillan, private trip for Meier Skis. Please inquire now if you are interested!
