Tyler at Meier spent a full hour giving me a tour of the shop, explaining how everything works. I had the best time learning all about the process. Plus it was amazing to talk to the guy that actually made the skis I was just using days earlier. The fact that they also have a bar for their visitors is just icing on the cake. If you have any interest in the technical side of skis and snowboards, do yourself a favor and stop by. - Michael Oryl
My son in Bozeman Montana told me about Meier skis and how they are made in Colorado and use aspen and beetle-kill pine in the wood ski core. After a demo through Epic Sports in Winter Park and an awesome factory tour where I got a chance to talk to Ted, Ashley, Chris and others, I decided on the Heritage Tour with Marker Kingpin 13 tech bindings. Overall I’m very impressed--this is a great setup for backcountry touring and they are quick and fun in area. I weigh in at 220 but the Heritage Tour (184) has no problem floating in powder--especially on safe low angle slopes. Awesome skis! I highly recommend you take the factory tour and a close look at Meier Skis. - Jon Hoogenboom
Just wanted to give a shout-out to MeierSkis and the great product they make. I had the opportunity this last Friday to demo their handmade in Colorado skis and boy was it a blast! The guys at the tent at Beaver Mountain were super friendly and helpful with all my questions and knew a lot about the fresh tech that goes into these skis.
There were quite a few styles of skis they were handing out for the day - I got a 'Quickdraw' pair that I fell in love with as soon as I clicked in. The skis are super light and really opened up a lot of my skiing ability. These skis turn on a dime (not literally - c'mon) and gave me a huge amount of control on the black diamonds! The difference between these and other performance skis I've rented and my own pair of skis was amazing!
Thanks Meier Skis for coming out and giving me a day on your skis! - Rueben Perry
Amazing skis/snowboards and people who make them! Real Aspen and Beetle Kill Pine for the core! Got to tour the factory and enjoy a beer while chatting them up. - Jeramy Davies
Meier skis are definitely some of the best skis I have skied on in my 40 years of skiing. I tried several brands (DPS, Armada, Romp, Iclantic and others) before going with the Heritage Tours. I love them! They are light enough for the hikes, stiff enough for the crud, and playful enough to have fun coming to the front side after a great day of skiing. I love the fact it's a Colorado company, eco friendly, and a great bunch of people. There are lots of great options out there in this industry, but stop by Meier skis first and check them out--you won't be disappointed. - Darin S
If you love skiing/snowboarding and are from Colorado this place is a must see! Stop in and get greeted with a happy smile and a cold beer, what could be better than that? The team is knowledgeable and happy to answer any question you can think of while you sit there in the showroom and watch the behind the scenes workings of how skis and snowboards are made. Seriously, go here it's awesome! - Sam C
I recently added the Heritage Tour to my quiver. I have been on Rossignol S7s for several years and these new Meier’s are hands down the most fun I have ever had on a pair of skis. Great soft snow float and super quick. Surprisingly versatile for such a light rockered ski. Outstanding in powder, trees, soft bumps…even groomers. The custom graphic of Widespread Panic playing at Red Rocks is super cool as well. Well done, Meier! The factory is a great place as well...stop by and have a beer while you learn about how they make skis. - ewingbi
I held off on posting this review until after I tried out my new snowboard a few times. The board is as good as it gets and I couldn't pass up the purchase after the awesome factory tour by owner Ted and his crew of Cody, Gunner and David.
While in Denver, stop in to have a complimentary beer and sit at the beetle kill pine wood bar as you look into the factory making handmade skis and snowboards. Even if you only have a minute, stop in and check them out. If you can spare 30 minutes, they will walk you through the process on how they make handmade skis.
Meier skis try to be the most sustainable factory in the world and they re-use all the beetle kill pine in the Rocky Mountains. It makes for a very cool looking board or pair of skis since their process makes the wood shine through the overlay! My board pops and I like the Jim Bridger top side design. If you want your own custom art work on yours, just send them the graphic and they will take care of that too! - Ryan S
