Phil Lewis is a professional artist based in Boulder, Colorado. He spent his childhood in Lake Tahoe and Colorado, where he developed a keen eye for shapes and colors in nature. His art is heavily influenced by the natural world and its beauty.

About the Azure Dragon Artwork

From the artist: The Azure dragon is one of the four symbols of the Chinese constellations, representing the eastern region of the celestial sphere, and the spring season. Often referred to as the Blue or Green dragon, it has strong relationships to wood and water elements. The Blue Dragon is also known as a symbol for the planet Jupiter, which has major significance… as the entire Chinese astrological 12-year cycle was based upon Jupiter’s orbit, taking approximately 12 years. In many ways, the Azure Dragon is the foundation for the whole system.

Phil's Azure Dragon graphic interplays beautifully with the natural wood hues with the natural blue and is interspersed throughout the graphic.
