Handmade in Denver
The right shape. Your favorite graphic. A build worth waiting for.
We know the feeling. The snow report looks promising, your next trip is on the calendar, and you’re ready for your new Meier skis. Here’s what happens between placing your order and getting them on the snow.
In-stock orders ship right away. We work to keep our best-selling models and lengths ready to go, but sometimes your selection needs a fresh build.
These skis and snowboards are always built to order. Expect shipping in 4–8 weeks from your order date.
Custom skis and snowboards are always built to order. Expect shipping in 4–8 weeks after your final artwork is approved. The design process happens before that build timeline begins.
A ski core is the heart and soul of the ski, and we make ours from scratch. We inspect each board for quality, then laminate the wood and press it into a core block. Every core blank contains all three species: Colorado aspen, beetle-kill pine, and hard maple.
The hard maple sits under the binding mount for superior binding retention. That construction helps us stand behind our skis with an industry-leading 3-year warranty.
We use the hardest, fastest base material available. Our sintered bases resist damage from rocks, roots, and chunks of ice, so your skis or snowboard need less repair work and fewer trips to the tune shop.
More time on snow. Less time in the shop.
A big part of the answer is the mold schedule. We change the molds that go into our ski and snowboard press throughout production. Your order joins the schedule for the mold its build requires.
If that mold is coming up soon, your order can move through production sooner. If it’s scheduled to go into the press a few weeks later, your order will fall toward the longer end of the window.
That range reflects where your build lands in the production schedule, along with the hands-on work needed to finish it. Your skis spend part of that time waiting for their turn in the press and part of it becoming your next favorite pair.
Too many skiers end up on the wrong shape because they loved the graphic or their size happened to be on the shelf. We want you on a ski that suits your terrain, your style, and the way you want to ski.
At Meier, you can choose the shape you need and a graphic you love. We’ll never steer you toward a pair just because we have it sitting in the shop. If we need to build the right ski for you, we can.
The same goes for our snowboards. Getting your setup right is worth a little planning ahead.
November and December are our busiest building months. Everyone is watching the forecast, planning trips, and getting ready for the season.
We’re excited to get you on the snow, too. Every build still needs the time and attention it takes to get it right. Good skis are worth waiting for.
Most skis arrive with a factory tune and still need a little attention before their first day on snow, including de-tuning at the tips and tails and a hand wax. At Meier, we take care of those finishing touches before your skis leave the shop.
Our tune crew works year-round, dialing in freshly built Meiers and keeping well-loved gear running its best. We think they’re the best in the biz, and every new pair gets the benefit of that experience.
Your Meiers ship with the tips and tails de-tuned and a fresh hand wax, ready to hit the snow. Once your bindings are properly mounted and adjusted, it’s time to go find your favorite run.
You’ll receive an email with tracking information as soon as your order ships.
