Meier Skis Crosscut BC Review

Fun skis, solid platform

I demoed these skis at Arapahoe Basin earlier this year. I had a blast on them. To be fair there wasn't a ton of fresh snow but the wind blown fluff I did find was great with these. They felt good arcing high speed groomers. Solid underfoot with early rise tip, camber underfoot, and a robust tail. Really fun skis!

Amazing ski, unbelievable service!

Fom the get-go, the Crosscut BC skis have proven to be an unparalleled choice for powder enthusiasts. My inaugural run with them in Steamboat's fresh powder was nothing short of revelatory. Their agility and ease of maneuverability in quick turns is astounding—initiate a turn, and the skis seamlessly take over, ensuring a fluid, effortless experience. Designed with a light and flexible frame, they excel in backcountry conditions, offering an unrivaled blend of performance and versatility. While they might present a bit of a challenge on groomed trails due to their flexibility, it's clear that these skis are crafted for those who chase the thrill of powder and tree runs, not the corduroy. However, what truly sets this experience apart is the extraordinary service provided by Meier. Faced with a tight two-week timeline before my ski trip, I was concerned about the logistics of mounting my bindings, requiring my ski boots to be shipped for proper fitting. Despite the swift action by the Meier team, an unexpected snag with UPS threatened to derail my plans, leaving me with the prospect of a ski trip without my new skis or one boot. Enter Parker from Meier—a true embodiment of dedication and customer care. Not only did Parker meticulously track down my skis and boots, but he also personally ensured their delivery from Denver to Steamboat, just in time for my trip. This level of service is a rarity in today's world, and it left me profoundly grateful and impressed. The combination of Meier's top-notch skis and their unparalleled commitment to customer satisfaction has not only enhanced my skiing experience but also solidified my loyalty as a customer. To the team at Meier, and especially to Parker, thank you for going above and beyond. Your efforts and dedication have not gone unnoticed.

“The Cross Cut BC’s had me at hello”

The Cross Cut BC’s are beyond belief. From the backcountry to rock hard man made inbounds snow, they rip it up. So easy to ski yet they pack a serious punch when you step into them. Super nimble at slower speeds, solid and stable at high speeds and edge holding capabilities second to none. Whether you want to take it easy or go into full attack mode, they won’t let you down. A true wolf in sheep’s clothing. My only regret is the BC’s weren’t available years ago. Do yourself a favor and don’t miss out on this amazing ski!!!
